Meet The Doctor
Dr. Annemarie O. Athansios earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with honors from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). During her training, she was recognized for her outstanding professionalism and ethics with the Professionalism Award, and honored by the New Jersey Dental Association with the Give Kids a Smile Award for her dedication to community service.
She went on to complete a three-year specialty residency in Periodontics at Rutgers University, where she also earned her Master of Dental Science degree. As a resident, she served as Chief Resident, presented research at the Tri-School Symposium, became certified through the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry, and was awarded the Michael J. Deasy Endowed Scholarship for her excellence.
Dr. Athansios is passionate about providing the highest quality periodontal and implant care. She is specially trained in minimally invasive procedures and uses the latest techniques and advanced technology to deliver treatment that is precise, effective, and as comfortable as possible for her patients.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Athansios finds joy in mentoring high school and college students who aspire to careers in dentistry. She also participates in mission trips, providing much-needed dental care to underserved communities in countries such as Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, and Egypt.
